The Deanery covers about 130 square miles between Telford and Shrewsbury, and has a population of around 9,000. The majority of the area is rural with small villages and hamlets. The eastern end (part of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin) includes a large suburban new-build development. There are 13 churches in the Deanery
The easiest way to find the Deanery if you don't know the area well is to travel west along the M54. When the motorway ends and the A5 begins, almost everything you can see to left and right is in our Deanery from there almost as far as the next roundabout! But if you want to get to any of our churches, you should leave the M54 at junction 7 (signposted for Wellington). The details of locations for the various churches and the maps in this section will help you find your way from there.

If you would like to see a map of the area (1:200,000) then click here to go to Streetmap. This will open in a separate window. The arrow points to a location more of less in the centre of the Deanery
The churches at Buildwas, Eaton Constantine, Uppington and Leighton are south of the A5/M54 near the Wrekin. The churches at High Ercall, Crudgington, Longdon-upon-Tern, Rodington, Rowton, Uffington, Upton Magna, Withington and Wrockwardine are north of the A5 / M54
Large scale maps showing the position of the individual churches can be found on the church pages.
